Walker Coleman placed fourth in the long jump with a personal best mark.
Several Panthers kicked off the first day of the Silfen Invitational at Connecticut College on Friday evening. The Middlebury men's track and field team is back in action on Saturday with the second day of events starting at 8:00 a.m.
Ziggy Goddard earned a fourth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:47.21.
In the 800m,
Max Cluss stopped the clock in 1:54.99, good for third place.
Quinlan McGaugh earned runner-up laurels in the 1,500m with a clocking of 3:57.14.
In the long jump,
Walker Coleman placed fourth with a personal-best mark of 6.50m, while
Caleb Fineske was fifth (6.41m).
Alexander Kessler finished in fourth place in the longest event of the day. He clocked in at 30:09.97 during the 10,000m, while
Alec Gironda was eighth (30:45.29).
