Middlebury women's squash rookie Abby Holding dropped a three-game decision during the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships Holleran Cup North bracket consolation final. The three-day event was ­­­held at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia. The Panther entered as the 14th seed, losing on Friday before advancing twice through the consolation bracket by default to reach Sunday's match.

In the consolation final against Ellie McVeigh from Columbia, the eighth seed in the draw, McVeigh jumped out to a 4-1 lead and never looked back to claim the opening game 11-3. In the second game, Holding grabbed a quick 4-1 advantage, but McVeigh rattled off seven-straight points to earn the 11-6 win. Holding fell behind in game three 9-4 but battled back to knot the score at 10 points apiece. After trading the next two points, McVeigh tallied the final two and edged Holding 13-11 to secure the victory.
