Four members of the Middlebury men's track and field team competed at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet on Saturday and each boasted top-10 finishes. The Panthers will wait to hear about their NCAA Championships fate when the organization announces the 2022 field on Sunday. The championships will be held March 11-12 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Quinlan McGaugh won the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 1:54.47, while Drew Donahue ran his fastest time of the season in the 3,000m, setting a school record of 8:18.21, beating the old mark of 8:21.12 set by Anthony Lee in 2013.
Alexander Kessler finished eighth in the 5,000m with a time of 14:59.04, while Zack Sieb had a heave of 46'4.25" in the shot put to place ninth.
