Teddy Best tallied a 1-1 record during the first day of the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships on Friday at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia. He split two matches during play as the 10th seed in the Molloy Cup North bracket. The senior captain and 10th seed in the Malloy North bracket returns to action on Saturday morning in the consolation semifinals at 10:30 a.m. when he takes on the winner of a match between Trinity's Mateo Restrepo and Haverford's Quinton Ayres Crawford.
Best began play on Friday morning squaring off with seventh-seeded Marawan El Borolossey from Trinity, as Best fell in three games (11-5, 12-10, 11-8). In the consolation quarterfinal, Best posted a four-game triumph over Hobart's Hussein Labib (11-4, 11-6, 9-11, 11-2).
