The Warriors are an NAIA school which awards one point for best-of-three in doubles, and an individual point for each singles match. The Panthers travel to Division II Concordia on Tuesday for a 3:00 p.m. EST match.
Middlebury jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a pair of wins in doubles. The tandem of
Nora Dahl and
Nina Farhat recorded their second victory in as many days, cruising past their opponents 8-1 in the third slot. At #2,
Claudia Miller and
Sahana Raman earned an 8-2 victory. The Warriors edged
Brinlea La Barge and
Sami Remis 8-7 (8-6) at the top of the ladder.
In singles action, Miller (#4) and van der Reis (#5) both won by identical 6-1, 6-1 scores. Raman (6-0, 7-6(4)), La Barge (6-0, 6-3), Delman (6-4, 6-3) and
Ruhi Kamdar (6-4, 6-1) all were victorious in straight sets.
