Middlebury Wraps Up Competition At NCAA Championships

Courtney Gantt, Maddie McKean and Hannah Wander of the Middlebury women's swimming and diving squad closed out their careers alongside teammates Isabella Caddeau and Chloe Katz on the final day of the 2022 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. The four-day event was hosted by Franklin College and Indiana Sports Corp with all competitions taking place at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI in Indianapolis.
 
Katz competed in the 100-yard freestyle during the morning preliminaries. She finished the race with a time of 52.95, shaving nearly four seconds off her personal-best mark in the event.
 
Wander closed out her individual career in the 200 breaststroke, placing 25th in a field of 40 athletes with a clocking of 2:22.23. 
 
The 400 free relay squad (Gantt, Caddeau, Katz and McKean) touched the wall in 3:32.38 to close out the competition for the Panthers. 
 
The week was highlighted by the 200 medley relay quartet of Caddeau, Wander, McKean and Gantt, who broke the school record with a clocking of 1:43.99. The relay finished in 13th place to lead off the first day of competition.
