The Middlebury women's swimming and diving team recorded a quartet of first-place finishes at #14 Amherst on Saturday. The Mammoths won the meet with 184.5 points, while the Panthers finished with 115.5 points. 
 
HIGHLIGHTS

• Hannah Baumgartner had a phenomenal day in the pool, winning the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:10.77. In the 200 free, Baumgertner was just one-tenth of a second out of first place, clocking in at 1:56.45. 
• Also earning first and second-place honors was Isabel Pentony. She won the 200 backstroke (2:09.81), while finishing second in the 100 back (59.80). 
• Elise Scott claimed the crown in the 100 butterfly with a clocking of 59.26, while Chloe Katz touched the wall first in the 1,000 free (10:52.53). 
• Baumgartner, Pentony and Scott teammed up with Zoe Tray in the 200 medley relay, clocking in at 1:50.22, which was good for second place. 
• The 400 free quartet of Louise Hay, Lily Siemasko, Katz and Baumgartner earned runner-up honors with a time of 3:41.04. 
• Tray finished in second place in the 200 breaststroke (2:31.98) and earned third in the 100 breast (1:09.53). 
• Hailey Vandenbosch touched the wall in second during the 200 fly with a clocking of 2:15.46, while Kate Wohl was right behind in third (2:15.49). 
• Maddy Reid was runner-up in the 200 back with a time of 2:12.39.
• In the air, Lia Smith earned second off the 3-meter board (260.48 points) and finished third off the 1-meter (244.72 points). 
• Rounding out the third-place finishers was Siemasko in the 100 free, Emma Hall in the 200 breast, Hay in the 500 free and Maddy Smith in the 100 fly. 

 
The Panthers close out first-semester competition next Saturday when they travel to Springfield.
