#17 Panthers Blank Vassar, 9-0

Kieran Suntha claimed a three-game victory at #6.
 The 17th-ranked Middlebury women's squash team breezed past Vassar by a 9-0 score on Friday evening in New York. The Panthers didn't surrender a game in the road victory.
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • Firdaus Shallo started things off for Middlebury with an 11-2, 11-2, 11-2 win at #7, while Abbie Peterson posted an 11-3, 11-4, 11-5 triumph in the middle of the ladder.
  • Izzy Ronda (11-1, 11-3, 11-4) and Annabel Pick (11-2, 11-2, 11-0) tallied the third and fourth points at #3 and #9, respectively. 
  • Kieran Suntha clinched the match for the Panthers with an 11-4, 11-2, 11-2 win in the sixth spot, while Abby Holding earned an 11-9, 11-7, 11-4 victory at #2.
  • The final three wins came from Evan Weiss in the eighth slot (11-0, 11-2, 11-2), Margaux Comai at #4 (11-2, 11-2, 11-2) and Lindsey Burnham in the #1 slot (11-4, 11-2, 11-2). 
NOTES
  • The victory by Pick at #9 was her first collegiate win.
  • Friday's matchup marked the 21st meeting between the programs, with the Panthers holding a 14-7 advantage and claiming the last four contests.
