23rd-Ranked Men’s Squash Eases Past Hamilton To Start Season

PK Keller was victorious in three game at #6.
 
The 23rd-ranked Middlebury men's squash team started its season with a convincing 8-1 victory on Saturday at Hamilton. 
 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • Middlebury claimed the first eight matches to earn its eight points. PK Keller tallied the first point with a three-game victory in the #6 spot (11-4, 11-7, 11-4).
  • Will Lichstein split the first two games with his opponent at #2, before winning games three and four to put Middlebury ahead 2-0 (11-3, 2-11, 11-7, 11-8).
  • Alex Stimpson gave the Panthers a 3-0 advantage with a four-game victory at the bottom of the ladder (6-11, 11-6, 11-8, 11-6), while WIll Quigley picked up his first collegiate victory one spot above (11-9, 11-8, 11-5).
  • Kian Kardenstuncer clinched the match for Middlebury, easing to his initial win in a Panther uniform (11-5, 11-7, 11-2).
  • Nathan Feinstein dropped the first game in the top spot, but rebounded to push the Panther edge to 6-0 (7-11, 13-11, 11-3, 11-3).
  • Theo Kogan and Alexis Ballo recorded three-games victories at #4 (11-8, 11-1, 11-8) and #7 (11-7, 11-6, 11-5), respectively. The win was the first of Kogan's career.
  • The Continentals claimed their lone point with a three-set win in the third position for the final 8-1 score.
 
NOTES
  • The Panthers have won the last 11 matches over the Continentals.
