Panthers Compete At NCAA MidEast Regionals

Kate Kenny was the first finisher across the line for Middlebury.
The Middlebury women's cross country team competed in the NCAA MidEast Regionals, placing eighth with 213 points. Williams claimed the title with 47 points, earning the region's automatic qualifier into the NCAA Championship field. The Panthers will wait to find out if they've received one of 22 at-large bids when the NCAA field is announced on Sunday.

 HIGHLIGHTS
  • Kate Kenny was the first finisher for Middlebury, moving up five places over the final kilometer. Kenny clocked in at 23:40.8 to place 25th in a field of 159 runners.
  • Panther Morgane Orcutt also placed in the top 30 spots, crossing the finish line with a time of 23:54.0. 
  • Audrey Grimes moved up 11 spots over the last kilometer of the race, finishing with a clocking of 24:17.9.
  • Right behind Grimes was Lucca Franz, posting a time of 24:33.8.
  • Rounding out the scorers for Middlebury was Tatum Peskin (25:03.6), good for 65th overall.
