Panthers Peak At NESCACs To Place Third

Ziggy Goddard recorded a personal-best at this year's NESCAC Championships.
The 13th-ranked Middlebury men's cross country team finished in third place at the 2022 NESCAC Championship. Williams claimed its conference-leading 21st title with 41 points, followed by Colby (104 points) and the Panthers (106 points).

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Alec Gironda paced Middlebury, finishing in fifth place to earn All-NESCAC First Team honors. Gironda's time of 24:17.6 was a personal best as he shaved nearly 30 seconds off his previous mark from two weeks ago.
  • Panther Zander Kessler was the second finisher, clocking in with a personal record time of 24:28.7. Kessler earned All-NESCAC Second Team honors with his eighth-place finish.
  • Also finishing in the top 20 was Ziggy Goddard. His personal best time of 24:47.8 was good for 17th place.
  • Rounding out the scorers for Middlebury were rookie duo Owen Johnson and Shef West. Johnson finished with a time of 25:31.7, while West was right behind (25:37.7).
