Women’s Tennis Wraps Up Fall Competition At The Polar Bear Invitational

Box Score The fifth-ranked Middlebury women's tennis team concluded the fall portion of its season with a strong showing at the Polar Bear Invitational hosted by Bowdoin.
 
TOURNAMENT INFO
  • The weekend featured a hidden dual format with no-ad scoring. The doubles competition was an eight-game pro set, while singles play saw the winners claim two sets with the third set going to a 10-point tiebreaker. 
HIGHLIGHTS
  • Middlebury went a combined 15-4 during singles play for the weekend.
  • Sahana Raman (3-0) and Lulu Wu (3-0) led the way individually, as both picked up a trio of victories for the Panthers. 
  • Claudia Miller (2-0) and Anna Lardner (2-0) went undefeated individually during the two-day tournament. 
  • Nina Farhat (2-1) also won a pair of matches in the singles competition. 
  • Also earning triumphs for Middlebury were Nathalie van der ReisBrinlea La Barge and Amanda Frank.
  • The Panthers also competed with numerous doubles tandems, picking up four wins with Raman a part of two of them.
NOTES
  • Miller improved to 30-7 in singles action with her two wins.
  • Raman goes to 35-7 for her career behind her three triumphs. 
  • Lardner earned her 10th victory this fall (10-3).
