The #14 Middlebury women's squash team (2-1) picked up its second win of the season against a ranked opponent, as the Panthers defeated #26 Colby (0-2) by a score of 5-4 on Saturday at the Bostwick Family Squash Center. Middlebury concludes its busy weekend on Sunday, hosting #16 Bates at 3:00 p.m., while the Mules head to Williams for a noon start.
The Panthers won all five of their matches by identical 3-0 scores.
Abby Holding won the deciding match in the third position by the scores of 11-1, 11-3, 11-9.
Gwen Davis triumphed 11-9, 11-3, 11-6 in the second slot, while
Caroline Arena posted an 11-5, 11-4, 11-4 victory at #4. The victories continued for Middlebury, as
Eva Finney (11-5, 11-1, 11-1) won at #5 and
Maya Bardorf (11-9, 11-2, 11-4) at #6.
