Bryan Chang was on a pair of winning relays and recorded two individual triumphs.
The Middlebury men's swimming and diving team was edged 152-146 by visiting Colby on Saturday. The Panthers are back in action on Sunday when they entertain Bates at 11:00 a.m.
Middlebury claimed the top spot in both relays of the meet. The quartet of
Jake Gaughan,
Bryan Chang,
Christopher Pederson and
Riley Griffis stopped the clock in 1:26.23 in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The 200 medley relay of
Jack Undercofler, Chang, Griffis and Gaughan won the event with a time of 1:34.58.
Griffis, Chang and Undercofler each won a pair of individual events. Griffis stopped the clock in the 100 butterfly (51.20) and the 500 free (4:46.09). Undercofler claimed the 50 backstroke (24.40) and the 100 back (52.82), while Chang won the 50 breaststroke (27.35) and the 100 breast (1:00.97).
Gaughan took top honors in the 100 free with a time of 48.16.
