#18 Brown Edges #25 Men’s Squash, 6-3

The #25 Middlebury men's squash team challenged #10 Brown on Friday at the Bostwick Family Squash Center, but the Bears came away with a 6-3 victory.

Prior to the match, the team recognized the efforts of senior captains Teddy Best and Nate Moll. The Panthers (2-8) return to action next weekend competing at the NESCAC Championships in Connecticut, while Brown (4-4) is at Wesleyan on February 9.

 Middlebury won the first match of the day, as Alex Stimpson posted an 11-4, 14-16, 13-11, 11-5 triumph in the ninth spot in the ladder. After a Brown win, Omar Ahmed Nemr won all three games at #6 by the scores of 12-10, 11-6, 11-9 to knot the score at 2-2. The match was tied again at 3-3 following a triumph by Alexis Ballo in the seventh slot. Ballo's win for the Panthers came by the scores of 10-12, 11-7, 11-6, 11-3.

The Bears claimed the last three matches to finish to earn the win.
