The #16 Middlebury women's squash team fell to visiting 10th-ranked Brown by a score of 8-1 on Friday at the Bostwick Family Squash Center. Prior to the match, the Panthers (5-3) recognized seniors Ideal Dowling and Gwen Davis. Middlebury concludes the regular season on Wednesday with a road match at Dartmouth, while the Bears (5-3) are at Wesleyan on February 9.

 Brown won the first five matches to secure the victory, but Maya Bardorf boasted a nice triumph in the sixth slot for the hosts. She won her match 3-1 by the scores of 11-8, 12-14, 11-5, 11-7.  Middlebury's Caroline Arena dropped a tight 3-2 match in the fourth spot of the ladder. She lost the first two games (12-10, 11-1), but battled back to tie the match at 2-2 before eventually falling in the fifth game by the scores of 10-12, 1-11, 11-9, 11-3, 4-11.
