Bailey Win Slalom, Middlebury Finishes Third

Bradshaw Underhill was eighth in the slalom.
The Middlebury ski team placed third at Saint Michael's Carnival, finishing with a total of 712 points. Vermont (984) took the team title followed by Dartmouth (760). The Panthers are idle until the first weekend in February, competing at the Vermont Carnival on Friday and Saturday.

Lucia Bailey paced the women's alpine team in the slalom, winning the event with a combined time of 1:42.05. Sophia Yubero finished with a two-run time of 1:45.07 to place eighth, while Mika-Anne Reha just missed cracking the top 10, taking 11th with a combined clocking of  1:45.92.

Bradshaw Underhill led the men's team in the slalom, placing eighth with a combined time of 1:34.74. Michel Macedo finished in 17th place (1:35.31), while Justin Alkier took 23rd in 1:43.66.

On the Nordic side, Kate Oldham paced the women's team, finishing the 5K freestyle in fifth place with a time of 14:56.3. Avery Ellis was the next Panther to cross the finish line in 10th place (15:23.9), while Quincey Massey-Bierman completed the race in 16:07.3 to place 31st.

For the men, Middlebury had three skiers finish in succession in the 5K, led by Logan Moore in 10th place (13:14). Sam Hodges was next, completing the course in 13:16.3, followed by Willson Moore in the 12th spot (13:16.3).
