The Middlebury women's swimming and diving defeated Springfield 220-77 at home on Sunday. Prior to the start of competition, the Panthers honored seniors Gabby Bianco, Emma Borrow, Courtney Gantt, Audrey Hsi, Maddie McKean, Olivia Rieur, Lucy Townend, and Hannah Wander. Middlebury will be on the road next Saturday when it heads to Williams for a tri-meet with Hamilton.
 
The Panthers were stellar, claiming the top spot in 14 of the 16 events.
 
The 200-yard medley relay quartet of Isabella Caddeau, Zoe Tray,  McKean and Gantt clocked in at 1:50.32. Caddeau, Gantt, and McKean teamed up with Hsi in the 200 freestyle relay, taking the crown with a time of 1:40.49.
 
Caddeau was also victorious in the 100 backstroke, touching the wall in 59.88. McKean placed first in the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.79 and second in the 50 free with a clocking of 25.75. Gantt went on to win the 50 free (24.82) and place third in the 100 fly (1:01.900. 
 
Over on the diving boards, Olivia Rieur won both events. She had a score of 201.83 on 1-meter and 203.40 on 3-meter.
