RESULTS
The Middlebury women's golf team opened up its fall season with a fifth-place finish among 15 teams at the Hamilton Invitational. Action took place at the Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford, N.Y. The Panthers return to action next weekend when they host the George Phinney Classic.
Fifth-ranked Williams took home the team title with a two-day total of 613, followed by #24 Amherst (623) and #21 New York University (628). Middlebury's score of 627 (318-319) placed them fifth overall.
Katie Murphy shaved four strokes off her day one total with a 74 on Sunday to finish in second place with a 152. Tying for 13th place overall was
Kayla Li, who shot a pair of 78s to come in with a 156. Placing 19th was
Jacqueline Slinkard with a 161 (79-82), followed by
Elizabeth Kenter (83-86-169) and
Maddy Cordeiro (84-85-169). Middlebury's
Audrey Tir turned in a solid 165 (83-82) as an individual.
