Middlebury's
Hogan Beazley captured medalist honors by three strokes at the 37th Annual Duke Nelson Tournament. Babson (580) edged New York University (581) to claim the team title, while the hosts shaved 15 strokes off their day one score to place third overall with a 591. Action took place at the par-71 Ralph Myhre Golf Course on the Middlebury campus. The Panthers return to action next weekend when the compete at the Williams Invitational. Â
Beazley carded a three-under-par 68 on Sunday to finish with a two-day total of 140. Tying for third overall at the event was
Colin McCaigue, who also shot a 68 on the second day of the tournament and finished with a 144. Tying for 16th place overall were KJ Dieker (76-73) and
Anthony King (76-73), who both came in with a 149.
Henry Harrison was Middlebury's other top performer, shooting a 152 (75-77) to tie for 27th overall.
The Middlebury "B" team finished the 23-team even in seventh place, while the "C" team came in 11th.
