AHCA RELEASE
The Middlebury women's hockey team had nine players honored when the 2020-21 American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) Krampade All-American Scholars were announced. The Panthers were among 201 players honored from Division II-III programs in the east.
Due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, the AHCA adopted revised criteria for this year's honorees. To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.6 grade point average (GPA) for each semester, regardless of whether the school's hockey team was able to play this season or not.
Earning spots on the ACHA All-American Scholar list were recent graduates
Anna Goldstein (Edina, Minn.),
Meghan Keating (Wilton, Conn.) and Elise Park (McLean, Va.), along with rising seniors
Katie Hargrave (Pocasset, Mass.),
Caroline Silk (Stamford, Conn.) and
Kiara Vazquez (La Quinta, Calif.). Also recognized were rising juniors
Caroline Cutter (Byfield, Mass.), Inga Van Wieran (Okemos, Mich.) and
Claudia Vira (High Bridge, N.J.).
