Hogan Beazley placed sixth overall with a 76.
The Middlebury men's golf team opened up its season at the Hamilton Invitational, which took place at the Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford, N.Y. The Panthers placed third in the six-team event with a total of 313. Hamilton earned the win with a 300, followed by the Continentals' second team, which came in with a 309. Middlebury returns to action next Sunday at the Williams Spring Invitational.
Leading the Panthers and tying for fourth place overall was
Colin McCaigue, who shot a three-over-par 75. Placing sixth was
Hogan Beazley with a 76, followed by
Jordan Bessalel, who carded a 79 (11th).
John Mikus and
Derek Ban rounded out the squad, each shooting an 83. Also competing for Middlebury at the event was
Porter Bowman, who came in with an 85.
