Three members of the Middlebury volleyball team earned American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-American recognition when the organization announced its selections on Tuesday. Maggie Wise (Winchester, Va.) was tabbed to the All-American Third Team, while Corley Doyle (San Francisco, Calif.) and Gabbie O'Toole (Overland Park, Kan.) earned honorable mention laurels. This marks the first time in program history three players have been recognized in the same season.

The trio of Panthers helped lead Middlebury to a banner season, hitting the 20-win plateau for the first time since 2012. The Panthers set a program record with 14-straight victories to open the season, and capped their home schedule with an unblemished 10-0 mark in Pepin Gym. Middlebury finished the year with a 21-6 record, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for just the fourth time in program history.

Wise, who became the first Panther to be named to an All-American team, secured All-Region and All-NESCAC First Team honors this year, leading the conference with 333 kills. Her single-season kills total moved her into seventh place on Middlebury's all-time list. The outside hitter recorded at least 20 kills in four matches this season, and had a streak of 11-straight contests with double digits in that category. Wise finished the season second on the team with 247 digs.

Doyle excelled as a middle hitter, contributing both offensively and defensively. She ranked second in the conference in hitting percentage (.364) and was second on the team in total kills with 241. On defense, Doyle was second in the NESCAC in total blocks with 79 (20 solo and 59 blocking assists). She earned All-NESCAC Second Team praise and was tabbed to the AVCA All-Region Team.

O'Toole stepped right in as the catalyst for Middlebury's attack as the team's setter, becoming the fourth Panther in NESCAC history to be named rookie of the year. She was also named the AVCA Region 1 Freshman of the Year. O'Toole topped the league with 886 assists and was first per set at 9.63. O'Toole recorded  a career-high with 58 assists in the NESCAC Tournament against Amherst, tying Lauren Barrett (9/25/10) for second place on Middlebury's single-season list.
