Box Score The Middlebury men's tennis team dominated the Panther Classic, hosting Bryant and Colgate in the two-day event. The Panthers return to action the weekend of October 14.

Middlebury had a strong showing on the first day of the competition.
Neel Epstein triumphed 6-3, 6-3 over Colgate's Tejas Gupta, before downing Marcus Macaulay of Bryant 6-4, 6-1.
Zachary Hilty took down Colgate's Mikey Weitz (6-0, 6-4) and Bryant's Jaedan Patterson (6-3, 6-2). Laber and Morris both downed their pair of Colgate and Bryant opponents in straight sets, giving Middlebury 11 singles victories.Â

Zihao Yuan and
Joe Mairs highlighted the competition, shutting out a pair from Bryant 8-0.Â

Middlebury started Sunday competition by winning three straight doubles matches. Morris and
Robby Ward downed a pair from Bryant 8-5, before Harris and Laber eased to a 8-4 victory over a tandem from Colgate. Yuan and
David Vilys earned a hard-fought victory against a duo from Bryant by a score of 8-7(4). Five other Panther pairs picked up victories during the morning session, as Middlebury went 13-0 in doubles over the two-day span.Â

During the single portion of Sunday, Epstein, Laber and Hilty all won their third match of the weekend in straight sets. Yuan won his lone-singles match of the weekend 6-4, 6-2 over Colgate's Weitz.
