Women's Tennis Hosts Middlebury Invitational

Miller won a pair of singles matches and two doubles over the weekend.
Box Score The women's tennis team hosted Bowdoin and Tufts at the Middlebury Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, featuring a hidden dual format. Panther Sahana Raman is back in action next weekend, traveling to the ITA Cup in Rome, Georgia to compete in the singles bracket after winning the New England title, while the rest of the team will be idle until the spring.
 
On Saturday against Tufts, tandem Nina Farhat and Nathalie van der Reis won 8-3, while Claudia Miller and Raman earned an 8-6 victory. In singles competition agains Tufts, Miller triumphed (4-6, 7-5, 10-7) over Nicki Frankel, while Caitlin Neal was victorious (6-4, 4-6, 10-4) against Rebecca Lim. Gen Huang cruised past Evelyn Safar of Bowdoin 6-2, 6-2, while van der Reis (2-6, 6-1, 10-3) and Farhat (6-2, 6-7(1), 12-10) each won against their Polar Bear opponents. Amy Delman, Brinlea La Barge and Sami Remis earned singles victories against Tufts.
 
Sunday's action started with a trio of tightly contested doubles matches, with Middlebury falling in all three against Tufts. Miller recorded her second solo victory of the weekend, downing Bowdoin's Fleming Landau 6-3, 6-0. Van der Reis blanked Polar Bear Kennedi Carter, while Miller and Nora Dahl teamed up to shutout a Tufts pair 8-0 to close out the day.
