#19 Panthers Top #23 Polar Bears

The #19 Middlebury men's squash team (3-7) earned a 6-3 victory at #23 Bowdoin (7-5) on Friday afternoon. The Panthers play their final contest of a three-match road stretch on Saturday when they head to #20 Colby for a noon start.

Bowdoin earned the first point of the contest, before Middlebury won the next five to take a 5-1 lead. Jacob Ellen earned the first Panther point in the third spot (7,6,3), before Nate Moll picked up a 3-1 victory (11-5, 3-11, 11-5, 11-7) at #6. PK Keller dropped his first game at #7, but bounced back, winning three-straight for the 3-1 triumph. John Epley earned a hard fought 3-0 win (8,8,9) in the fifth spot to increase the advantage to 4-1.  

William Cembalest edged his opponent in a five-set thriller to picked up his seventh-straight victory. Knotted 2-2 (11-2, 13-11, 9-11, 4-11), he held on to earn an 11-7 win in the fifth to remain unbeaten on the season.

The Polar Bears made it 5-2 with a point at #9, but Jack Kagan clinched the contest with a 3-0 triumph (5,6,9) in the fourth flight. Bowdoin earned the ninth point in the top-spot, making it a 6-3 final for Middlebury.
