The 18th-ranked Middlebury men's squash team earned its sixth-straight victory with a 9-0 triumph over Hamilton on Thursday in the Bostwick Family Squash Center. The Panthers (8-2) return to the courts Saturday at 2:30 p.m. against 15th-ranked Brown in a match played at Harvard.
In the win over the Continentals (0-5), the hosts recorded three-game wins in every spot on the ladder. Finlay McInerney started things off with a win at No. 9 (11-2, 11-1, 11-2) over John Buckley, while Teddy Best doubled the Middlebury lead via a win in the third spot (11-4, 11-6, 11-6) against Atticus Jones. Nate Moll eased past Jarrod Gerstein at No. 6 (11-5, 11-4, 11-4), while Alex Merrill made it a 4-0 score with an 11-4, 11-1, 11-1 win over Nick Randolph in the eighth slot.
John Epley clinched the match with an 11-7, 11-2, 11-7 triumph against Oliver Constable in the middle of the ladder. Jack Kagan posted an 11-3, 11-5, 11-7 win at No. 2 over Rufus Somerby, while Thomas Wolpow was victorious in the seventh spot against Will Nocito (11-1, 11-5, 11-4).
Nick Bermingham breezed past Tristan Chaix in the fourth spot of the lineup (11-1, 11-1, 11-0), while Justin Ghaeli recorded an 11-7, 11-3, 11-4 win at in the top slot against Callum Sondhi to complete the sweep.
