The 20th-ranked Middlebury men's squash team eased past host Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon by a 9-0 score in the Rosenbaum Squash Center. The Panthers (2-1) conclude their first semester of action on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. against 14th-ranked George Washington in a match played in Connecticut.
In the win over the Cardinals (1-6), the visitors recorded three-game victories in all nine spots on the ladder. Nate Moll started things off with a win at No. 9 (11-1, 11-5, 11-5) over Robby Greenspan, while John Epley doubled the Middlebury lead via a win in the sixth spot (11-3, 11-4, 11-5) against Alex Dreyfus. Justin Ghaeli eased past Josh Lane at No. 3 (11-7, 11-5, 11-3), while Thomas Wolpow made it a 4-0 score with an 11-4, 11-3, 11-2 win over Scott Ji in the eighth slot.
Teddy Best clinched the match with an 11-5, 11-3, 11-9 triumph against Peter Delalio in the fifth slot. Jacob Ellen posted an 11-5, 11-3, 11-6 win at No. 2 over Yahya Ladiwala, while Wiatt Hinton was victorious in the seventh spot against Andrew Doucette (11-4, 11-0, 11-2).
Nick Bermingham breezed past Kevin Le in the fourth spot of the lineup (11-4, 11-8, 11-1), while William Cembalest recorded an 11-9, 11-2, 11-4 win at in the top slot against Sean Choi to complete the sweep.
