The 20th-ranked Middlebury men's squash team defeated visiting Tufts on Saturday afternoon by an 8-1 score in the Bostwick Family Squash Center. The Panthers (1-1) return to competition on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. when they play Wesleyan.

In the win over the 23rd-ranked Jumbos (2-2), the visitors claimed their lone point with a five-game win at the bottom of the lineup.

The Panthers rattled off eight-straight wins to earn the victory. John Epley started things off with a win at No. 6 (11-9, 12-10, 11-6) over Will Dewire, while Nick Bermingham gave Middlebury the lead for good via a win in the third spot (12-10, 10-12, 11-9, 11-5) against Marco Rodriguez. Nate Moll breezed past Salik Awan (11-6, 11-3, 11-3) in the eighth slot, while Wiatt Hinton gave the Panthers a 4-1 advantage with an 11-3, 11-7, 11-9 victory against Dillon O'Shea.

Thomas Wolpow clinched the match at No. 7 with a three-game triumph over Connor Ward (11-6, 11-7, 11-4). Justin Ghaeli posted an 12-10, 11-6, 11-3 win against Konrad LaDow in the second spot, while Teddy Best downed Alan Litman at No. 4 by identical 11-4, 11-4 and 11-4 scores.

Jacob Ellen completed the scoring with a four-game victory atop the ladder over Raghav Kumar by tallies of 11-8, 11-8, 5-11 and 11-1.
