The Middlebury men's squash team posted its sixth-straight victory and third in a row by a 9-0 score when it blanked #27 Hobart at home on Thursday evening. The 15th-ranked Panthers (6-2) have a day off before returning to the court Saturday with pair of matches at Franklin & Marshall against #13th-ranked Diplomats at 11:00 a.m., followed by a 2:00 p.m. contest with #22 Dickinson.

In the win over the Statesmen, the hosts tallied three-game victories in seven of the nine matches. Nick Bermingham was the first to tally a point with a victory at #9 (11-5, 11-3, 11-5), while Andrew Cadienhead doubled the hosts' lead with a triumph in the third spot (11-6, 11-9, 11-3).

Ben Krant fought his way back from a 2-1 deficit for a five-game win at #6 (8-11, 11-9, 7-11, 11-2, 11-7), William Kurth cruised in three games at #8 (11-5, 11-4, 11-9), while Jacob Ellen breezed past his opponent in the second spot of the ladder to score the clinching fifth point (11-4, 11-2, 11-2).

The next three wins for the Panthers came in three games. Robert Rohrbach eased past his opponent at #7 (11-5, 11-7, 12-10), Jack Kagan was victorious in the fifth spot (13-11, 11-6, 11-8), while Wyatt French tallied a win at the top of the ladder (11-7, 11-6, 11-6). William Cembalest concluded the sweep at #4, working his way back from a 2-1 deficit for a five-game triumph (11-4, 7-11, 10-12, 11-9, 11-5).
