Middlebury scored five second-half goals on its way to a 6-0 victory Tuesday over host Plymouth State. The 14th-ranked Panthers (6-0-2) return to action Saturday with a NESCAC home match against Tufts starting at 1:00 p.m.

The visitors broke the scoreless tie at 32:10 when Kirk Horton headed in a cross from Daniel O'Grady for his second of the season.

The match remained a 1-0 advantage in favor of Middlebury until the early stages of the second half, when the visitors scored a trio of goals in just under 11 minutes. Greg Conrad found the back of the net of the third time this fall when he one-touched the ball on a cross from Drew Goulart at 51:10. Almost eight minutes later, O'Grady was the recipient of a cross from quick touches by Adam Glaser and Conrad for his third of the season at 58:49. Conrad capped the three-goal spurt with a header on a corner kick from Glaser at the 62:01 mark.

The assist was Glaser's second of the game, giving him 14 points (4-6-14) on the year and 89 in his career (30-29-89). Already the program's career leader in assists, Glaser needs just one point to tie Kyle Dezotell '03 and his point total of 90 (34-22-90).

The Panthers tallied their fifth goal of the contest when Kyle Moffat put home his second of the season on a cross by Tom Dils at 72:40. Jed Sass completed the scoring with his first of the fall via a deflection off a curling ball into the box from Kieran Bhave at 88:00.

Middlebury held advantages in both shots (20-4) and corner kicks (8-2). Greg Sydor played all 90 minutes with a pair of saves for his fifth shutout of the season and 21st of his career. Through eight matches, the Panther defense has allowed just three goals. Felix Lindeberg was credited with seven stops for the hosts.
