Box Score Williams scored a goal in the first half and added two more less than a minute apart in the second stanza for a 3-0 victory #24 Middlebury (9-3-3, 4-3-3) in the regular-season finale for both squads. The Ephs (9-3-3, 6-3-1) tallied the lone goal of the opening half when Mark Sisco-Tolomeo dribbled down the right side of the pitch. He worked past a Middlebury defender, blasting a shot from point-blank range that Middlebury goalkeeper Greg Sydor saved. The rebound came back to the feet of Sisco-Tolomeo, who chipped the ball up and over Sydor at 23:45 for his fifth goal of the season.
The Panthers nearly knotted the match with a little less than three minutes to go in the opening half, but Alcorn made a sliding stop on an attempt by a charging Daniel O'Grady.
After the halftime break, JC Bahr de Stefano gave Williams a 2-0 advantage at 81:49 when he chipped a ball on a breakaway from 15 yards over the head of Sydor. Just 49 seconds later, Mohammed Rashid made it 3-0 when he one-touched a through ball from Malcolm Singleton for the score.
Williams finished the match with a narrow 9-7 edge in shots and a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks. Sydor made four saves for the Panthers, while Alcorn also turned away four shots on the other end of the field.
