The 19th-ranked Middlebury men's squash team fell at home Wednesday evening to #15 Williams by a 6-3 score. The Panthers return to the court Friday when they host 12th-ranked Drexel at 5:00 p.m.
Picking up wins for the Panthers were Wyatt French, David Cromwell and Cameron Dewey. French (13-11, 11-5, 11-6) and Cromwell (14-12, 11-4, 11-8) cruised in straight sets over their opponents at #3 and #5, respectively. Dewey trailed two sets to one in the eighth slot, but fought back for a five-set win (10-12, 11-9, 8-11, 11-8, 11-8).
With Williams clinging to a narrow 4-3 edge in the match, Robert Galluccio lost the first two sets against Williams' Michael Petrick in the #6 slot before winning the third. Petrick battled back and won the fourth set, securing the individual point and victory for the Ephs.
