Men's Soccer Remains Unbeaten

Box Score

The Middlebury men's soccer team remained unbeaten on the season with a 2-0 NESCAC road victory at Connecticut College (2-1). The Panthers (2-0-1) will return to action in Vermont on Wednesday afternoon with a road contest at Southern Vermont.

Following a scoreless first half, Middlebury got on the board 1:54 into the second session with the first goal of his career for Kirk Horton. Greg Conrad collected a long throw in and dished the ball off to Horton who was able to beat Austin DaCunha (5 saves) with a 15-yard blast to the far post.

Conrad earned his team-leading third assist of the season just 6:22 later, feeding Adam Glaser, who blasted one home from 10 yards out on the right side. The marker was his team-leading third of the season, as a Conrad interception set up the goal.

The Camels rallied late in the game with some quality chances, but Middlebury's Greg Sydor, who finished with six saves, thwarted the opportunities to earn his second shutout of the season.

Middlebury held a 14-13 edge in shots, while the Camels took 10 corner kicks to just one for the Panthers.
