The Middlebury men's squash team advanced to the NESCAC semifinals before falling by a score of 9-0 to top-seeded Trinity. The Panthers earned a first-round bye before edging Wesleyan 5-4 in the quarterfinals. The team returns to action on Sunday at Hamilton in the back draw.
In the tight victory over Wesleyan, three matches went five games while three others went four. Parker Hurst earned a 3-2 win at #1 singles, while Andrew Cadienhead was a 3-0 victor in the third slot. Wyatt French (3-0) and Harrison Croll (3-0) were winners at five and six, while Reed Palmer earned a 3-2 victory at #8.
Against Trinity, Andrew Jung stretched his match to five games, before falling 3-2.
