Box Score The Middlebury men's soccer team made it four wins in its last five games as it earned a 2-0 road victory at Plymouth State (5-10-1) on Wednesday night. The Panthers (9-3-3) return to action in post-season play on Saturday when they host a NESCAC Quarterfinal game. Fourth-seeded Middlebury will meet fifth-seeded Wesleyan, a team which it defeated by a score of 3-1 last Saturday in Vermont.
Adam Glaser and Noah Goss-Woliner combined on a pair of goals in the win as Greg Sydor needed to make just one save to post his seventh shutout of the season.
Glaser opened the scoring 15:13 into the game with his eighth of the season, tying him for the team lead. The goal came when he converted a cross from the right side by Goss-Woliner.
The lead remained 1-0 until the 79:57 mark when the duo struck again. The goal was scored in a similar fashion, as Goss-Woliner netted his third of the season with an assist from Glaser.
Middlebury owned a 9-0 shot advantage in the first half, and a 12-4 margin for the game. PSU keepers Felix Lindeberg and Danny Marsh each allowed a goal, with Lindeberg making five saves and Marsh two.
