Box Score

Middlebury cruised to a 5-0 win over Bridgewater State (9-9-2) in an NCAA Regional contest played on Dragone Field. The 13th-ranked Panthers advanced to Sunday's Regional Final, where they will meet Endicott, a 1-0 winner over Scranton, at 1:30 p.m.

Middlebury threatened early and often, but the Bears were able to keep them off the board for over 30 minutes. Middlebury's Ali Omsberg found Scarlett Kirk in the 22nd minute, but Bridgewater keeper Kerry Condon slid to deny a shot from Kirk as she broke in one-on-one. Just a few minutes later, Julia Favorito had a good look from 15 yards out, but her shot missed the net.

The Panthers finally broke through with a pair of goals coming from rookies. Adrianna Gildner earned the first marker at the 34:34 mark, finishing a header from Kirk down low. The Panthers made it a 2-0 game 42:04 into the half with a goal from Grace Woroch. Condon came out to challenge Gildner, who made a quick move around the keeper but found herself at a poor angle to shoot. She quickly found Woroch in the box whose shot hit the right post and bounced in for the first of her career.

The lead grew 5:22 into the second half when Moria Sloan made a nice feed to Jamie Soroka on the left, as her shot found the far post for her fifth of the season. Woroch struck again at 66:06, one-timing a low crossing pass from Kirk for the 4-0 lead. Amanda Hotvedt scored the first of her career on a penalty kick at 70:19 with a blast to the right side.

Middlebury finished with a 20-2 shots advantage in the game, with Elizabeth Foody making one save in 68 minutes, while Kate Reinmuth made no saves in 22 minutes of play. Condon made nine saves for Bridgewater in 80 minutes, while Emma Titus made a pair of stops in 10 minutes of play. One of her two saves came on a great diving effort in the final minute on an attempt from Gildner.
