Middlebury picked up its second win in as many days as the Panthers (5-3-1, 4-3-1) defeated Hamilton (2-5-3, 1-3-3) 2-0 on Sunday afternoon. Middlebury led 1-0 early and then added a late goal in the victory. The Panthers return to action on Saturday at Bates.

Middlebury struck 11:30 into the game with the first of the year for Sam Peisch. After a shot from Noah Goss-Woliner was blocked, Peisch gathered the ball on the right side from 17 yards out and fired a low hard shot into the far side of the net.

Hamilton's best chance to score in the game came in the 22^nd minute after a restart. Leo Nizzi served the ball from the left side as Jacob Frost skipped it towards the goal where it bounced off the far post before being cleared.

Goss-Woliner fired a shot just high from 20 yards out in the 33^rd minute for the Panthers, while Adam Glaser was denied from 15 yards by a diving save from Fred Porges.

Hamilton looked to tie the game in the 68^th minute but a low hard cross along the end line by John McGuinnis found nobody home. Middlebury began to threaten late and sealed the game with just 1:05 remaining. Adam Glaser won a ball in transition down the right wing and carried the ball down the wing at full speed. Dan Skayne beat his man down the field and then one-touched a great crossing pass from Glaser into the back of the net for his second of the year.

Middlebury finished the game with a 16-4 shots advantage, as Ethan Collins was forced to make no saves in goal to earn the shutout. Porges made three in the first half for Hamilton, while Harris Pollack made no second half saves. The game had little flow, with the Continentals blown for 20 fouls and the Panthers 13.
