Robbie Donahoe and Louis Belisle each earned a goal and an assist to lead visiting Middlebury to a 4-1 NESCAC victory against Connecticut College at Dayton Arena on Friday night. The Panthers improve their record to 7-8-2 while upping their mark to 6-3-2 in conference play. The Camels fall to 5-9-3 with a 1-7-3 record in league action.

Matt Silcoff and Michael Longo chipped in with goals for the visitors, while Dan Fullam stopped 28 of 29 shots between the pipes for the winning side.

Connecticut College's JC Cangelosi scored his third goal of the season in the setback. Tom Conlin made 36 saves in the loss for the hosts.

The Panthers took a 1-0 lead with 57.1 seconds remaining in the opening period with a backhander from Silcoff on the power play.

The visitors extended their lead 5:28 into middle period. Belisle delivered the puck from the point to Derek Pimentel, who dished it off to Longo for a goal in the slot area.

Midway through the second period on their penalty kill, Belisle supplied a shorthanded marker with a wrist shot to put the visitors in complete control with 9:36 remaining. Chris Steele and George Ordway assisted on the shorty. With 2:54 left in the second, Fullam thwarted the Camels with a save from point blank range on Tim DiPretoro and the Panthers carried their 3-0 advantage into the second intermission.

In the third period, Donahoe tacked on another Panther goal when he broke free in the slot area and beat Conlin to the near post with his third goal of the season with 4:40 remaining in regulation.

The Camels were able to break up the shutout with 1:19 remaining. Roper hit the cross bar with a shot from the right point and Cangelosi was able to put back the rebound.

Middlebury will visit Tufts University Saturday for a 4:00 p.m. game in Malden, Mass. The Camels will host Williams College for a 3:00 p.m. game here in New London.
