Amy Schlueter redirected a pass from Lucy Wagner for the game's only goal at the 51:29 mark, as Middlebury earned a 1-0 victory over Trinity on Dragone Field. The win is the third straight for the Panthers, while the Bantams drop their fourth in a row. Middlebury returns to action on Saturday at Bates.

Trinity threatened in the 15th minute, as Jenny Ley fed Leigh Howard who was in a footrace with Panther keeper Jocelyn Remmert, who came up with the save. Lily Pepper (five saves) made a save of her own in the 37th minute, outracing Julia Favorito to the ball to stop a scoring opportunity.

After winning a one-on-one battle in the 41st minute, Middlebury's Scarlett Kirk took a low hard shot that was denied by Pepper.

Schlueter's game-winner came 6:29 into the second half, her fifth tally of the season. Trinity's Katie Giberson had a nice shot on goal in the 60th minute, but missed high. Middlebury answered right back when Kirk took a feed from Schlueter before her shot to the left side was denied by a diving Pepper.

The Panthers continued to have opportunities down the stretch, emerging with their fourth shutout victory of the season. Remmert finished with four saves in the first half, while Elizabeth Foody made two second half stops.
