Middlebury saw its six game unbeaten streak come to an end as they dropped a NESCAC contest to Trinity, 1-0. The win stops a three-game skid for the Bantams, who had dropped three straight 1-0 contests. The Panthers are back in action on Wednesday when they host Plymouth State.

The game's lone goal came just 4:35 in, when Bantam Dan Mayernick scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season. Mayernick found himself some space on the right side and drove to the goal, beating Panther keeper Tim Cahill (two saves) with a shot to the back of the net.

Middlebury threatened in the 13th minute with a free kick, but Tyler Smith's header went just wide after service from Robbie Redmond. Jack Freeman missed with a short side shot that went wide early in the second half, before Brett Brazier had a good look in the 51st minute, missing with a shot to the left.

The Panther's best scoring opportunity came in the 82nd minute, when Brazier fed Redmond before his shot was stopped by a diving save from Grant Schonberg (six saves).
