Cross Country Teams Race At ECAC's

Middlebury took part in the ECAC Championships in Bristol, R.I. on Saturday afternoon. Resting many of its top racers on both the men's and women's team, the Panther women won the race with 21 points, topping Williams (72) and Amherst (73). The Middlebury men were second only to Williams (94) with 123 points. The Panther women placed six racers in the top eight.

Leading the Middlebury women was senior Amanda Lee (Lincoln, Neb.), who placed second overall in the race with a time of 22:23. Junior Margo Cramer (Seattle, Wash.) wasn't far behind in third place in 22:28, followed by senior Hannah Meier (Charlotte, Vt.), who placed fourth overall (22:30). Junior Chelsea Ward-Waller (Washington, D.C.) rounded out the four-pack in fifth place (22:34), followed by rookie Emily Attwood (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) in seventh (22:54) and senior Sophia Spring (Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.) in eighth (22:55).

Junior Taylor Sundali (Ketchum, Idaho) led the Panther men in ninth place, completing the event in 26:31. Classmate Sam Miller (Needham, Mass.) was next in 21st place (26:55), followed by senior Donovan Dickson (Austin, Texas) in 28th (27:07). Just one second behind in 29th place was sophomore Anthony Lee (Plainsboro, N.J.), while sophomore Patrick Hebble (Sudbury, Mass.) rounded out the scorers in 36th (27:14).
