Women's Soccer Blanks Skidmore

The Panther women's soccer team (5-0) picked up a 2-0 road at Skidmore, improving to 5-0 on the season with the non-league win. The loss snaps an eight-game unbeaten streak for the Thoroughbreds, who fall to 7-2-1.

Middlebury got on the board when Rachel Madding's header off Kirsten Lundquist's corner snuck past the goalie and crossed the goal line. The Panthers took a 2-0 lead when Annie Rowell got behind the defenders and beat Thoroughbred keeper Meghan Sleezer for her fourth goal of the season.

Skidmore was never able to get their offense going and were outshot 8-4 by the Panthers. Meghan Sleezer made three saves for the Thoroughbreds, while Lauryn Torch didn't have to make a stop in her shutout effort for Middlebury.
