Women's Soccer Falls At Colby

Middlebury suffered its first NESCAC loss of the season as they dropped a 2-1 contest in Maine at Colby. The Panthers return to action on Sunday at Bowdoin.

Liz Morbeck scored after a pass from Meg Cordner with 18:49 left in the first half to give the Mules a 1-0 lead. Middlebury's Nora Tomlinson Weintraub tied it at 1-1 with an assist from Erin Pittenger with 8:48 left in the half. Laura Williamson headed in a cross from Katie McCabe with 3:19 left in the first half for the game-winner.

Colby goalkeeper Liza Benson did the job in the second half and finished with 11 saves. Adele Plunkett made five stops for the Panthers.
