The Panthers entered the game ranked fourth in New England, while the Jeffs held the third spot. 

Both teams had some great chances to score during regulation, but neither team could capitalize. Middlebury may have had the best chance to score when they tallied the apparent game-winner at the end of the first overtime, but the play was offsides.
