10/1/04 - The Middlebury College men's cross country team captured the State Championship meet at Johnson State College.

Junior Garrott Kuzzy (Minneapolis, Minn.) continued to be the team's top finisher as he won the State Meet with a time of 26:42, 41 seconds ahead of the next finisher. Placing fourth overall was senior Bryce Roche (Bozeman, Mont.) with a time of 28:21, followed by teammate Matt Horesta (Pomptain Plains, N.J.) in fifth place with a time of 28:23. Sophomore Sean Lena (Orono, Maine) in seventh (28:42) and junior Baker Lyon (Portland, Ore.) in 12th (29:20) rounded out Middlebury's scorers.
