Middlebury College cross country runner Cassie Kearney (Rockland, Mass.) has been named the NESCAC Women's Performer of the Week. Competing at Lehigh's 46th annual Paul Short Invitational, the sophomore helped guide the 18th-ranked Panther women to a seventh-place finish in the Brown Race out of 44 schools with 274 points in a field comprised all three NCAA divisions. She posted a time of 21:30.8 in the 6K race, placing 14th in the field of 370 runners. The result is the second top-20 finish this fall for Kearney, as the 2018 All-American was 10th at the Bates Invitational on September 14.
Kearney and the Panthers are idle until October 19 when they compete at the Connecticut College Invitational.
