  • Women Third, Men Seventh at NCAA Cross Country Championships

    The Middlebury country teams took part in the 2013 NCAA Championship races hosted by Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana. The Panther women finished third overall at the championship, while the men earned a school-best seventh-place finish. Johns Hopkins won the 32-team women’s title with 85 points, followed by Williams (137) and Middlebury (185). The 32-team men’s event was captured by St. Olaf (84), who narrowly edged North Central (86), while the Panthers totaled 297 points.
  • Cross Country Teams Headed To NCAAs

    The Middlebury College men’s and women's cross country teams will take part in the 2013 NCAA Championship races hosted by Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana. The 32-team races will take place at Hanover’s nationally renowned campus course with the women’s event at 11:00 a.m. and the men’s race at 12:30 p.m.
  • XCountry Teams Place Second at NCAA Regionals

    The Middlebury cross country teams took part in the NCAA New England Regional hosted by the University of Southern Maine on Saturday. Both Panther teams placed second in the event to Williams, qualifying as a team for the NCAA Championships.
  • Cross Country Race at ECACs - Women Win Title

    The Middlebury Cross country teams took part in the ECAC Championships at Colt State Park in Bristol, R.I. In an event where the team rests its top seven runners, the Panther women  won their fifth consecutive title, finishing with a combined team score of 30 points in a 47-team race. The Middlebury men finished the event in fifth place among 46 teams.
  • Eleven XCountry Runners Earn NESCAC Honor - Nagy Is Rookie Of The Year, Wilkerson Is Coach Of The Year

    Eleven members of the Middlebury College cross country teams have earned All-NESCAC honors based on their recent performance at the 2013 championships hosted by Connecticut College. Seven women and four men were honored, including NESCAC Rookie of the Year Erzesbet Nagy (Albion, Maine) representing the Panther women. In addition, Nicole Wilkerson was named the NESCAC Women's Coach of the Year.
  • Women's Cross Country Wins NESCAC Title - Men Place Second

    The Middlebury women’s cross country team won its 12th NESCAC Championship on Saturday afternoon at Harness Memorial State Park in an event hosted by Connecticut College. The Panther men also turned in a strong performance, placing second overall in the 11-team field.
  • Cross Country Teams to Vie for NESCAC Titles

    Connecticut College will host the 2013 NESCAC Cross Country Championships this Saturday, Nov. 2, at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Conn. The 31st annual meet commences with the women’s 6-kilometer race at noon followed by the men’s 8-kilometer race at 1 p.m.
  • Krathwohl Honored By NESCAC

    Middlebury College men’s cross country runner Greg Krathwohl (Ipswich, Mass.) has been named the NESCAC Performer of the Week. The senior earned second place at the University of Albany 8K race with a time of 25:21.7. His result helped the Panthers take top honors after recording 22 points against ten Division I, II and III programs.
  • Cross Country Teams Win at Albany

    The Middlebury cross county teams took part in the 47th annual Albany Invitational with several Division I and II teams. The third-ranked Panther women won the six-team event by 30 points over Marist. The ninth=ranked Middlebury men captured the eight-team event by 56 points over Vermont.
  • Guth Earns NESCAC Honors

    Middlebury College women’s cross country runner Sarah Guth (Wilton, Conn.) has been named the NESCAC Performer of the Week. Guth crossed the finish line in 18:14 during the 5K race at the NEICAAA Championships. Her time was good for 24th place individually out of 283 harriers among Divisions I, II and III. 
  • Cross Country Teams Fifth at Open New Englands

    The Middlebury men's and women's cross country teams both finished fifth overall at the 2013 NEICAA Championships at Franklin Park in Boston. Both were tops among Division III teams racing, with each field featuring over 40 teams.
  • Cross Country Teams Host Community Supper

    The Middlebury cross country teams recently hosted  a community supper on Friday, October 4th in Middlebury, Vermont. This marked the second straight year the team has hosted an event with costs being covered by the College’s Office of Community Engagement.
  • Country Country Teams Impress at Williams

    The Panther cross country teams both turned in some strong performances at the Purple Valley Classic hosted by Williams on Saturday.  The Middlebury men entered the weekend ranked 23rd, finishing third overall among 13 teams, falling to just #3 MIT and #9 Williams. 
  • XCountry Squads Dominate At Bard

    The Middlebury cross country teams dominated a sizable field at the Bard Invitational races on Saturday in Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y.  The Panther women won the 16-team field with 14 of the top 18 finishers, while the men captured a 22-team race with 12 of the top 17 racers.
  • Cross Country Sweeps Aldrich Invitational

    The Middlebury cross country teams hosted their only meet of the season as the Panther men and women both captured the Aldrich Invitational. The Middlebury men placed the top 14 racers to defeat Norwich, while the women placed the top eight racers to defeat St. Michael’s and Norwich.
