Dunlop is now in his 17th season in 2019-20 as the assistant coach of the Middlebury volleyball team. Since joining Middlebury in 2003, Dunlop helped guide the team to eight-consecutive winning seasons, including three NESCAC Championships (2010, 2012, 2016) and four NCAA Tournament appearances.
A former tennis player, Dunlop won the Vermont State Championship with the South Burlington High School Tennis Team before switching to volleyball at SUNY-Purchase. After graduation, he played indoor sixes and outdoor doubles in club volleyball competitions around the Northeast. He began his coaching career as the assistant volleyball coach at Saint Michael's College in 1996.
