Middlebury College volleyball sophomore Maggie Wise (Winchester, Va.) was honored when the league announced its All-NESCAC recipients, landing a spot on the second team. The sophomore outside hitter helped guide the Panthers to a 15-10 record in 2019, advancing to the league's semifinal round.
Wise led the team and was fourth in the league with 3.12 kills per set. She recorded 10 or more kills in 18 matches this season, including a season-best 19 in the opening match of the fall against Manhattanville. She also posted a career-high 180 digs and averaged 2.00 digs per set, finishing the year with six double-doubles in kills and digs. Wise added 40 blocks (2 BS, 38 BA) this season at the net. She heads into her third year with a 2.88 kills per set average and 438 total kills, to go along with 205 digs and 63 blocks (5 BS, 58 BA).
